We recently had the pleasure of sponsoring and exhibiting at the BACP Private Practice conference in London, on 14th September.
This year’s Private Practice conference, created by the Private Practice committee (made up of members who work in private practice) and BACP, focussed on tackling some of the toughest challenges therapists face, no matter their approach or specialty.
The agenda was rich with valuable insights and practical guidance on a plethora of ethical dilemmas and unforeseen crises. Topics ranged from critical issues such as suicide prevention and harassment to essential legal matters, including complaints management and GDPR compliance. Attendees had the unique opportunity to present their own ethical dilemmas for discussion during the afternoon panel session, featuring esteemed experts such as integrative psychotherapist Tina Williams, Professor of Counselling Professions and Mental Health Andrew Reeves, counselling psychologist Dr Gabriel Wynn, and counsellor/psychotherapist Martia Morahan.
As exhibitors, we had the privilege of connecting with numerous private practitioners throughout the day, engaging in meaningful discussions that highlighted the key challenges currently faced by professionals in the mental health sector. Exhibiting at the conference reaffirmed our commitment to help streamline service delivery and help solve some of the key challenges facing psychological therapy practices today.
For those who were unable to attend the conference or who wish to revisit any sessions, recordings are available to watch on-demand until 18th December. Simply register to BACP’s on-demand service on their website to access the recordings.
